JL girls defeat Seguin, 12-1

Elizabeth Felcman threw a one-hitter and Addison Matula and Ainsley Grahmann had three hits each in the Hallettsville All-Stars’ 12-1, five-inning victory over Seguin here Friday to wrap up the District 31 championship.

Felcman struck out eight and walked one. The Seguin run was unearned

Hallettsville began the scoring in the first inning with three runs on three hits and a walk. Kenzie Chance led off with a double to right field and Matula ensued with an infield single to score Chance. Grahmann came up with a single to left to plate Matula and Kennedy Zappe got in the final run with another infield hit.

Grahmann hit a RBI double in the five-run second inning and Chance, Matula and Sophia Etzler got in three runs with base hits.

Hallettsville wrapped up the scoring with four, fourth inning runs.

Grahmann was 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and Matula 3-for-4 and with 4 RBI. Allison Clark had two hits in two trips to the plate and a RBI and Felcman and Kinley Migl singled.

Seguin came into the game with a loss.
