Lady Brahmas finish fourth

    ALTAIR – The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas finished fourth in the Rice Invitational Tournament Thursday Friday and Saturday.

    In pool play on Thursday, the Lady Brahmas defeated Ganado (25- 10, 25-7) Navasota JV (25-23 23-25, 25-19) and La Grange 25-23, 23-25, 25-19).

    On Friday the LB lost to Weimar (25-8, 25-12), defeated Flatonia (25-21, 25-15) and Lexington (25-23, 20- 25, 25-21).

    On Saturday, Hallettsville lost to #1 ranked Iola (25-18, 25- 18) and Weimar again (22-25, 25-22, 25-11).

    Jans Henke had 44 kills in the tournament and averaged 2.6 a set.

    Christine Felcman put down 39 kills and had an average of 2.1 per set.
