Lady Brahmas seize season opening victory

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ season opener was never in doubt.

The Lady Brahmas routed the Ganado Maidens, 71-33, here Tuesday, November 14 in the season opener for both teams.

Hallettsville went on a 15-5 run to start the first quarter and led 21-10 at the first break. Kasey Harper drained 11 points in the period with 5 of 6 shooting from the field

The rampage continued in the second quarter and the LB took a 31-15 advantage at the big break.

Hallettsville committed 15 turnovers which is pretty good for a first game.

Harper scored a game-high 17 points, Adalyn Pohl 13 and Layten Kolacny 10.
