Lady Bulldogs fall in first regular-season game

The Gobblers were off to a hot start in the bottom of the first inning, scoring 10 runs and defeating the Yoakum High School (YHS) Lady Bulldog Softball Team in its first regular-season game 11-1 on Feb. 12 in Cuero.

The Lady Bulldogs plated one run in the top of the fourth frame and Cuero added one more in the fifth to activate the run rule.

The Bulldogs were held to five hits at the plate with Madilynn Steinmann going 2-for-2, a double and a run.

She started on the mound, going 0.1 innings with three hits, seven runs and three walks. Hannah Schultz tossed for four innings with four runs on seven hits, four wild pitches, four walks, and two strikeouts.
