Lady Comanches thrash Louise, fall to Weimar

    The Lady Comanches softball went 1-1 last week, beating Louise and falling to Weimar, both home games.

    SHINER 28, LOUISE 0

    Paeden Vincik got two hits, a grand slam, a double, scored one run and had five total RBI in a 28-0 Shiner win over Louise on April 12.

    Shiner started hot in the first inning with 20 runs scored and then plated eight runs in the second inning. The Lady Comanches held Louise to three hits on the day.

    Brinley Ramirez and Teresa Olivas also picked up two hits each and eight total Shiner runners scored three runs each.

    Vincik started the game, got the win with one inning pitched, one hit, one hit by pitch and three strikeouts. Dyllan Chrismon threw for one inning with one hit, two strikeouts; Callie Sevcik got 2/3 innings of a turn with one walk and two strikeouts; Riley Rainosek got in 1/3 innings with one hit, one walk.

    Over the last two innings, the Weimar Lady Wildcats scored six runs to pull away from the Lady Comanches 9-2 after Shiner had comeback from a 3-0 deficit to trail just 3-2.

    Weimar took a 1-0 lead in the first frame and was up 3-0 after three innings.

    Shiner scored twice in bottom of the fifth before Weimar scored two runs in the sixth and four more in the seventh.

    For the Lady Comanches offense, Callie Sevcik got two hits, Vincik hit a triple and Ramirez added a double. Vincik took the loss at pitcher with seven runs on four hits, three walks and four strikeouts in six innings pitched; Olivas worked one inning, two hits, two runs. I
