Local cross country: Shiner CC meet- Lady Cards place second
Shiner Catholic School and Shiner ISD cross-country teams competed in the Shiner meet Saturday at Green-Dickson Park.
St. Paul
Varsity Girls
St. Paul girls scored 58 points to come in runner up in the 1A-2A varsity, four points shy of winner Falls City.
Brooke Cerny was first place in the with 12 minutes, 17.19 seconds.
Kristin Cerny was eighth in 13:24.34; Skylar Mozisek was No. 10 with 13:29.57. Riley Mozisek was No. 20 in 14:03.59; Sally Machacek was No. 27 in 14:23.93; Frances Filip was No. 33 with 14:40.15; Nora Koch was No. 43 in 15:32.93; Faith Brown was No. 50 in 15:46.70 and Julia Barecky was No. 54 in 16:16.60.
Varsity Boys
The Cardinals recorded 147 points for sixth place in the 1A-2A boys. Gabe Darilek was the Cards’ leader with No. 14 in 19:13.96. Alex Brown was No. 46 in 22:32.37. Carter Chilek was No. 56 in 23:41.79; Hunter Zella was No. 62 in 24:40.75 and following was Nathan Timmons with 24:46.14. Jackson Seibert was No. 70 in 27:01.11.
JV Girls
Eden Rodriguez was the lone JV runner in the girls 1A-2A varsity, finishing in 17:17.55. Mary Filip was No. 70 in 24:25.36.
