Major League Girls movin' on to State

Hallettsville put up two big crooked numbers in its 13-3 rout of Palacios in the championship game of the Section 4 Tournament Friday.

The locals scored five runs in the first inning and five in the second.

Lynley Kallus and Macyn Wimberly pitched two innings apiece.

Kallus started and went two frames and gave up two runs (one earned), four hits, struck out two and did not allow a walk.

Wimberly ceded one run, four hits, struck two and walked two.

Hallettsville scored its 13 runs on nine hits, seven errors and four walks.

Lead-off hitter Blair Ranly had two hits including a triple and scored a run. Kenley Sevcik doubled, singled, drove in five runs and scored one.

Paelyn Etzler had two hits, one RBI and scored a run.

Wimberly singled for two RBI, Adley Zappe drove in a run and Morgan Felcman singled.
