Moulton girls basketball: Kittens beat Runge, Austwell-Tivoli

The girls basketball team picked up two more district wins last week.
Moulton 52, Runge 20
Audrey Swinford put in 21 points and Addison Simper contributed 13 points to lead Moulton girls to a 52-20 win at Runge Jan. 26.
Moulton held Runge to seven and three points, respectively, in the first and second quarters while netting 20 points in each of those frames.
The Kittnes outscored Runge 11-8 in the third period and Runge scored eight of nine points in the fourth period.

Moulton 54, Austwell-Tivoli 17
The Kittens outscored Austwell-Tivoli 15-1 in the opening frame and reeled in the Lady Redfish 54-17 at home on Friday. Moulton took 28-5 lead at the break and outscored A-T 15-5 in the third period and held a small scoring advantage 11-7 in the fourth quarter.
Estefania Colchado hit two treys and scored 16 points while Swinford totaled 12 points.
