Moulton track and field: Ja’Michael Williams wins high jump, Audrey Swinford gets silver in discus to lead track and field at state

The Moulton track and field teams won three overall medals in the 1A division of the UIL state track and field meet on Saturday.
Girls
The Kittens tied for No. 22 with 10 points. 
Audrey Swinford was second in the discus with a long throw of 122 feet, 11 inches. She also threw 120-7, 112-8 and  71-8.
Mina Tinajero was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with 47.81.
The girls 400-relay team of Taylor Self, Addison Simper, Karsyn Blahuta and Tinajero placed ninth with 51.75.
Boys
The Katz recorded 17 points to tie for No. 12.
Ja’Michael Williams won the high jump with a height of 6-8 and got eighth in the triple jump with 42-1, 40-7 1/4, 39-4 3/4 and 38-8.
Landon Chaloupka got third in the long jump with 22-3, and also jumped  21-11 3/4, 21-5 3/4, 21-5 1/4 and 21-4 3/4. He cleared 6-2 in the high jump for sixth place.
