'Nettes Knock off Defending District Champs
PFLUGERVILLE – The Sacred Heart Indianettes knocked off defending district champion Pflugerville Lutheran Concordia, 16- 25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-14 Thursday.
“We played lights out after the first set,”coach Wanda Orsak said. “We weren’t perfect, but we played good defense and kept attacking them offensively. Concordia is a very good team, so this was a big win on its floor.”
Three players were in double figures in kills. Annika Brooks led the surge with 20, Elena Grahmann produced 11 and Ava Lackey 10. Grahmann had a doubledouble with 24 assists.

The Indianettes defeated an old nemesis in Bulverde Bracken Christian here Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Then ’Nettes rolled to a 25-12 first set win with Annika Brooks producing 6 kills. The score was 11-9 until SH pulled away with a 14-3 surge.
In Set 2,the Indianettes leapt out to an 8-1 lead en route to a 25-9 victory. Brooks had 4 downers in the set and Elena Grahmann 2.
The Warriors offered some resistance in the third set which saw 2 ties. SH led 18-14 before out-scoring the Warriors 7-4 the rest of the way. Brooks, who had 16 kills, had 5 successful attacks in the set.
On the down side, the Indianettes had 8 serving errors.
“We played a relaxed match, but too many service errors,” coach Wanda Orsak said. “I felt our serve receive also fell off.”
