Shiner athletics: Realignment-Shiner football to play in 2ADII

The Shiner Comanches football, after several years of playing in 2ADI, will play in 2ADII for at least the next two years following the UIL realignment.
Prior to the realignment being released last week, Shiner had turned in an enrollment of 181.5 students, just 0.5 students below the 2ADI cutoff number of 182.
The Comanches football team is in 15-2ADII alongside Falls City, Louise, Pettus, Charlotte and Yorktown.
Volleyball
The Lady Comanches will be in 27-2A and it will not be different than the previous districts; Shiner joins Flatonia, Ganado, Louise, Schulenburg and Weimar.
Basketball
Shiner is in 28-2A and it remains unchanged with Bloomington, Flatonia, Ganado, Louise, Schulenburg and Weimar joining the Purple and Gold.
