Shiner Baseball: Peterson wins Player of Year to lead Shiner TSWA All-State 2A Baseball

    Ryan Peterson made Player of the Year to lead Shiner Comanche winners in the  Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Class 2A All-State Team.
    The 2021-22 junior Peterson was 14-0 with a 0.53 earned run average with 151 strikeouts in 79 innings. Peterson also batted .541 with 38 RBI, he scored 65 runs and stole 38 bases for the state runner-up. He also was First Team Pitcher.
    Other winners for the 34-1 and 2A state runner up Comanches is junior catcher Bryce Nerada at First Team Catcher; junior Drew Wenske at First Team Shortstop.
    Senior AJ Patek won Third Team First Baseman.
