Shiner boys basketball: Comanches beat Cobras, Prairie Lea in warmup games
The Shiner Comanches won two playoff warmup games last week.

Levi Werner scored 17 points to lead the Comanches in a 98-42 win over Victoria Cobras Homeschool on Feb. 16. Jarvis Williams (13), Jake Simper (13), Felix Nieto (13), Boe Boehm (12), Kaden Neskora (12) and Landen Christensen (10) also scored in double digitis.
Shiner led 25-9 after one quarter and 58-16 at halftime. They outscored Cobras 20-9 in the third quarter and 20-17 in the final eight minutes. Judson McKenzie led Cobras with 10 points and two triples.

Simper and Nieto each scored 14 points while Neskora dropped in 12 points in the Comanches’ 59-26 win at Prairie Lea on Friday.
Shiner led 19-5 at the first break and outscored the Indians 13-7 in the second frame. The Comanches went on a 12-5 run in the third period and 15 of 24 points in the fourth quarter. Eddie led PL with nine points, all on triples.
