Shiner boys basketball: Comanches beat LHS, Weimar in district games

The Comanches won two district games last week, defeating Louise at home Jan. 6 and winning at Weimar Friday.
Shiner 71, Louise 28
Shiner outscored the Hornets 32-0 in the first quarter and rolled to a 71-28 win.
The Comanches scored 13 of 25 points in the second frame for a 45-12 halftime lead before outscoring Louise 20-5 in the third frame. Louise managed an 11-6 run in the fourth period.
Jarvis Williams led all scorers and topped the Comanches with 21 points and two triples; Felix Nieto contributed 10 points.
Jr. Romero scored six to lead Louise.

Williams scored 21 points and Levi Werner totaled 12 points in Shiner’s 56-51 win at Weimar.
Shiner led 17-6 after one quarter; Weimar went on an 18-9 run to cut Shiner’s lead down to 26-24 at halftime.
The Comanches slightly outscored Weimar 18-17 in the third quarter and scored 12 of 22 points in the fourth quarter. Montgomery led Weimar with 14 points.
