Shiner boys basketball: Shorthorns find way past Comanches 54-53

The Schulenburg Shorthorns rallied to edge the Shiner Comanches 54-53 in Schulenburg Friday.
The Comanches led 17-11 after the first frame and an 18-8 run by the ‘Horns gave them a 29-25 lead.
Schulenburg led 41-34 at the end of the third period and a Shiner 19-13 run in the fourth quarter got them back in the game but not enough to win or force overtime.
Carson Schuette bagged 22 points for Shiner and Jared Werner recorded 12 points.
Rodney Walton led the ‘Horns with 15 points.
