Shiner boys powerlifting: Comanche lifters have three place top four in their classes at Rice 1.0 meet

The Shiner Comanches powerlifting team placed seventh at the Rice 1.0 meet Thursday in Altair.
Cason Dement got runner up in the 198-pound class with a 1,195 total, 475 squat, 290 bench press and 430 deadlift.
Tyler Harvey was third in the 132 class with a total of 750, 305 squat, 145 bench press and 750 deadlift.
Brody Popp was fourth in the 165 class with 370 squat, 185 bench press, 340 deadlift and a 895 total.
Cade Shimek had a 670 total with 245 squat, 175 bench press and 250 deadlift for No. 11 in the 165 class.
Jovanni Venegas was No. 13 in the 181 class with a total of 700, 250 squat, 190 bench press and 260 deadlift.
