    The Shiner Lady Comanches varsity cross-country crushed the 28-2A meet Monday at Green-Dickson Park.
    They took the title by scoring 15 points to second-place Gandao’s 72. Weimar came in third to advance to regionals as a team.
    As a testament to their dominating performance in the two-mile race, the Lady Comanches had five of seven runners finish from first to fifth, led by Hayleigh Burns who earned the district individual championship with a time of 13 minutes, 0.74 seconds. Following was Riley Rainosek (13:22.65), Brinley Ramirez (14:01.77), Erin Pustka (14:05.10) and Callie Chrismon (14:07.29. Amelia Pohler was No. 12 in 14:47.64 and Molly Kollaus was No. 22 with 15:27.0
    Boehm advances to regionals as individual
    Shiner Comanche varsity runner Boe Boehm placed eighth individually to qualify for the regional meet with aa 20:26.77 finish for the 5K. Also for Shiner, Gavin Gipson was No. 18 in 23:01.52, Shawn Liska was No. 25 in 24:04.34; Kade Matula was No. 39.

    Eve Roberts finished the race with a time of 15:50.91.
