Shiner cross country: LC harriers place third at Moulton XC meet

    The Shiner cross-country teams competed in the 35th Annual Moulton Cross-Country meet Saturday at City Park in Moulton, bringing home a medal.

    Varsity Girls
    The Lady Comanches recorded 106 points to place third in their division.
    Hayleigh Burns had a top-five finish as she was fourth with 14 minutes, 11.04 seconds and a pace of 7:05 a mile. Emma Joslin was No. 17 with a time of 14:52.23 (7:26); Callie Chrismon was No. 26 in 15:27.07 (7:43), followed by Erin Pustka in 15:33.86 (7:46). Jo Caka was No. 47 in 17:04.13 (8:32); Megan Burns was clocked at 17:12.82 (8:36) for No. 50 and Eve Roberts was No. 58 in 17:38.97 (8:49).

    Varsity Boys
    Boe Boehm finished in 20:25.78 (6:48) for No. 17; Landen Christensen was No. 19 with a time of 20:39.65 (6:53). Caleb Cowan was No. 36 in 22:41.25 (7:34) and Kade Matula finished at No. 45 in 23:45.47 (7:55).

    JH Girls
    Alena Winkenwerder was No. 27 in 17:06.02 (8:33); Tatum Carson was No. 47 in 18:32.51 (9:16). Jewel Caka was No. 57 in 19:01.90 (9:30 and Ashlyn Qualls was No. 80 with 20:55.82 (10:27).

    JH Boys
    Shiner was third with 82 points. Brody Popp was runner up with 12:51.29 (6:25); Carson Christensen was No. 15 in 14:07.11 (7:03); Collin Wallace crossed the line at 14:22.97 (7:11) for No. 21. Joshua Leon was No. 36 with 15:14.45 (7:37); Hunter Hopkins was finished at 15:24.74 (7:42); Colby Nichols was No. 43 in 16:01.88 (8:00); Hudson Koncaba was No. 72 in 18:37.32 (9:18) and following was Tobi Gipson in 18:40.73 (9:20).
