Shiner cross country: Shiner boys place third at home CC meet

The Shiner varsity boys cross-country team got third place at the home meet on Saturday while all three varsity Lady Comanches were in the top 10.
Varsity Girls 1A-2A
Megan Burns led the Lady Comanches with sixth place in 14 minutes, 56.89 seconds.
Jewel Caka was eighth in 15:45.41 followed by Jo Caka in 15:59.39.
Varsity Boys 1A-2A
Shiner placed third with 56 points.
Collin Wallace was No. 12 in 23:17.14, followed by Felix Nieto in 23:19.93.
Kade Matula was No. 15 in 25:39.22 and behind him was Gavin Wallace in 25:41.9. Hudson Koncaba was No. 20 in 27:16.54.
JH Girls
Shiner was third with 60 points.
Alena Winkenwerder was No. 10 in 16:07.78 and following was Alaina Sofka in 16:12.88. Aubrianah Schaefer was timed at 16:36 for No. 15; Kendyl Boehm placed No. 18 in 16:50.04; Paisly Todd got No. 24 in 17:31.78; Ellie Migl checked in at 18:01.95 for No. 27; Dawn Bishop was No. 40 in 21:05.56.
JH Boys
Shiner took fifth with 103 points.
Joshua Lecon was No. 11 in 13:54.34.
Tobias Gipson finished in 15:04.34 for No. 19; Jonathan Stock earned No. 34 in 16:14.03; J. Migl was No. 41 with 17:22.11.
