Shiner football:Javelina football recap for Doug Brooks, Tyler Palmer

Shiner graduates Doug Brooks (2022) and Tyler Palmer (2021) got some reps in the 2022 season for the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelina football team.

Doug Brooks participated in 10 total games on the defensive line during the season.
In the opening game against North American at home Sept. 3, Brooks had one solo tackle as the Javelinas rolled 60-0.
His next game was at West Texas A&M game in Lonestar Conference play, a 31-24 win for TAMUK in which Brooks had one solo tackle. Brooks and the Javelinas took on Simon Fraser (British Columbia) in Blaine, Wash. on Oct. 1, winning 35-7. He had one tackle assist.
At Central Washington in conference on Oct. 29, TAMUK fell 23-19 with Brooks making two tackle assists, 0.5 tackles for loss of five yards and 0.5 sacks for loss of five yards.
In a home conference game to Western Oregon on. Nov. 12 the Javelinas fell 48-37 as Brooks contributed one solo tackle and two tackle assists.
In 2022, Brooks played in 10 games, made three solo tackles, five tackle assists for 8.0 total tackles, had .5 tackles for loss of five yards .5 sacks for a loss of five yards.
Tyler Palmer
Palmer competed in four games with one solo tackle, which came in the Western Oregon game on Nov. 12.
