Shiner girls basketball: Shiner JV girls get wins over Edna, LBs

The Shiner Lady Comanches junior varsity team defeated Edna and Hallettsville in recent action.
Shiner 38, Edna 18
Lexi Boner and Harlee Sevcik each scored 10 points as Shiner defeated the Cowgirls 38-18 on Nov. 23.
Shiner led 15-4 after one quarter and was ahead 24-11 at halftime. 
The Lady Comanches outscored Edna 11-3 in the third and the Cowgirls scored four of seven points in the fourth.
For Shiner, Kallee Kifer had two rebounds, two steals, one assist; MaKenna Pish had one assist, one rebound; Megan Burns added one assist, one rebound; Arabella Carlisle had one steal; Emersyn Boehm had eight steals; Boner had one assist; Marie Johnson had five assists, three rebounds, three steals; Evy Johnson chipped in four rebounds; Harper Lenehan added five steals, three rebounds, two assists and Sevcik totaled seven rebounds, one assist, one steal.

The Lady Comanches survived an 18-12 second-half run by Hallettsville for a 31-27 win on Nov. 25.
Shiner led 9-3 after the first quarter and scored 10 of 16 points in the second for a 19-9 halftime advantage.
The Lady Brahmas got within 22-17 after the third quarter and outscored Shiner 10-9 in the fourth box.
Boehm led the Lady Comanches with eight points and also had five steals, three rebounds, one assist. Kifer had six steals, three rebounds, two assists; Pish had one rebound; Burns had one steal; Carlisle had one rebound; Akin added one rebound; Boner had five rebounds and one steal; Marie Johnson finished with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal; Evy Johnson had one steal. Lenehan contributed four rebounds, four steals, two assists; Sevcik recorded seven rebounds and one steal.
