Shiner girls golf: LC edge Flatonia for district title

    The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team won the district title last week at the district meet in Weimar, scoring 431 which also tied Flatonia. Shiner won in a sudden-death team playoff 25-26.
    Chelsea Whiddon scored a 104; Grace Migl had a 105; Megan Winkenwerder carded a 107.
    Bri Sofka had a 115 and Lauren Faldyn recorded a 118.
    In the junior varsity division, Olivia Akin carded a 123. Individually for Shiner, Morgan Lenehan cared a 109 to qualify for regionals and Callie Chrismon booked a 120.
    Moving on to regionals next Monday and Tuesday in Corpus Christi is Lenehan, Migl, Whiddon, Winkenwerder, Faldyn and Chrismon (alternate).
