Shiner softball:LC endure district loss to Ganado

Despite home runs from Paeden Vincik and Kailey Boedeker, the Shiner softball team fell short to Ganado on the road 10-5 on March 22.
The game was scheduled for the previous day in Shiner but moved back one day because of weather-related field issues before the teams decided to play in Ganado. The Maidens will make the trip to Shiner on April 14.
The Maidens plated four runs in the fifth frame for a 6-5 lead and scored four more in the sixth.
The game was 1-1 after the first inning and the Lady Comanches led 2-1 after two frames and outscored Ganado 3-0 in the third inning.  Ganado scored one run in the fourth to get within 5-2.
Brinley Ramirez, Addy Siegel and Rylee Vancura also got hits with Ramirez scoring two runs.
Teresa Olivas pitched four innings with four hits and four runs while Dyllan Chrismon worked two innings with four hits and six runs.
Vancura made three putouts on defense.
