Shiner softball:Vancura,Vincik, Siegel lead Shiner All-District softball awards

The Shiner Lady Comanches softball team had three players receive special awards on the 29-2A All-District team.
Junior Rylee Vancura was selected as Offensive Player of the Year; junior Paeden Vincik was named Defensive Player of the Year and freshman Addy Siegel picked up Newcomer of the Year.
Chosen for the First Team is senior pitcher Teresa Olivas, sophomore infielder Brinley Ramirez and senior outfielder Riley Rainosek.
Getting Second Team honors is sophomore infielder Kailey Boedeker and sophomore outfielder Callie Sevcik.
Junior Aimee Mitchon, sophomore Dyllan Chrismon and freshman Lauren Springfield received Honorable Mention.
Receiving All-District Academic is Rainosek, Vincik, Vancura, Mitchon, Olivas, Ramirez, Boedeker, Makenzie Peebles, Siegel, Sadie Carter, Kara Kupka, Kloe Polasek and Springfield.
The Lady Comanches finished runner up in district.
They advanced to the regional finals where they fell to eventual state champions Weimar 2-1 in a three-game series.
