Shiner track and field: Shiner TF sends two to state

The Shiner boys got fifth place and the girls took sixth place at the regional track meet last Friday and Saturday in Kingsville.
Girls
The Lady Comanches got sixth place overall with 33 points.
JaMya Wright got second in high jump, reaching 5 feet, 2 inches.
JaLeah Curtis placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.6 seconds. She was seventh in prelims with 12.78.
Wright got fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:01.78. She got first in the prelims with 1:01.18.
Kallee Kifer was No. 13 in the 100 hurdles prelims with 17.89 and earned ninth in the 300 hurdles prelims with 52.33.
The 400-relay team was third in the prelims with 50.96 and third in the finals with 50.98.
Reagan Horn placed fifth in pole vault with 9-0. Horn got ninth in long jump with 15-10.
Brinley Ramirez got seventh in long jump with 16-4 1/4.
Peyton Wegener tied for No. 13 in triple jump with 31-8.
Kailey Boedeker got fifth in shot put with 35-10 and took sixth in discus with 109-9.
Wright will compete at state in the high jump.
Boys
The Comanches scored 32 points to place fifth.
Triston Vesely got runner up in the 100 with 11.19 and was second in prelims with 11.04.
Carson Reese placed ninth in the 400 prelims with 54.32.
Boe Boehm was eighth in the 110 hurdles with 17.5 and got eighth in the prelims with 16.65. He got fifth in the 300 hurdles with 42.2 and was fifth in prelims with 43.48.
The 400-relay team was fourth with 44.15 and fourth in the prelims with 44.05.
The 800-relay team was fifth with 1:32.10 and fourth in prelims with 1:33.48.
The 1600-relay team was seventh with 3:37.8 and seventh in prelims with 3:36.38.
Boehm was No 12 in high jump with 5-6.
Quincy Jones got fourth in long jump with 21-10 3/4 and was third in triple jump with 43-9 1/4.
Tyler Harvey was No. 11 in long jump with 20-1 1/4.
Vesely will race at state in the 100.
