    The Shiner girls and boys track teams each won the area mee Thursday in Flatonia and are sending several athletes to regionals later this week in Kingsville.
    Girls
    The Lady Comanches won the 27-28 area title with 112 points with runner-up Weimar getting 103 points. Kailey Boedeker set a new school record in the shot put with a throw of 124 feet, 3 inches, surpassing the current holder Kori Landman who had a best throw of 123-7.
