Shiner volleyball:Shiner volleyball tourney Friday and Saturday

The Shiner volleyball program will host the annual Shiner Lady Comanche Volleyball Tournament Friday and Saturday. There will be pools A and B; pool A will consist of Shiner, Gonzales, Hallettsville and Stockdale; pool B will be Flatonia, Industrial, Hallettsville Sacred Heart and Yoakum.
Friday will be pool play with Pool A games will be  from 8 am to 1 p.m. and Pool B games will be from 2-7.
Pool A: Gonzales vs Hallettsville, 8 a.m.; Shiner vs Stockdale, 9; Stockdale vs Gonzales, 10; Hallettsville vs Shiner, 11; Stockdale vs Hallettsville, 12 p.m.; Shiner vs Gonzales, 1. Pool B: Industrial vs Sacred Heart, 2; Flatonia vs Yoakum, 3; Yoakum vs Industrial, 4; Sacred Heart vs Flatonia, 5; Yoakum vs Sacred Heart, 6; Flatonia vs Industrial, 7.
First and second place pool teams will advance to the Gold Bracket while third and fourth place will play in the Purple Bracket. Both brackets will be played Saturday.
Pool matches will be best-of-three to 25, cap at 30. Places for each pool will be determined by win-loss record (matches won vs matches lost); head to head; winning percentage (sets won vs sets lost) and coin toss.
