SJS opens basketball season

The St. Joseph School (SJS) Tigers Basketball Team opened the season with two home victories. In the first game on Nov. 9 against the Pawnee Indians, Shooter Laqua had 18 points to lead the Tigers. Ty Smith and Nick Adamek had six points, Joseph Novak four, and Caden Werland and Colton Pate had two each. On Nov. 13 against the Victoria Homeschool Cobras, Laqua scored 12 points, Dominic Novak 11, Smith nine, and Adamek six and Werland had five.

The SJS B Team opened with two losses. In the first game on Nov. 13 against the Cobras, Joseph Novak scored 18. On Nov. 16 against the Our Lady of the Gulf Mariners, J. Novak scored 15, Pate scored four, and Jace Driskell scored two.
