St. Paul cross country: Lady Cardinals win first at SH meet

The St. Paul cross-country team ran at the Sacred Heart meet on Saturday. The girls won the Gold in their division. 
The team will run in the Victoria Citizens Race for the Cure 5K on Saturday.
The state meet will be Oct. 28 at Cottonweed Golf Course in Waco. The girls will run at 1:40 p.m. followed by the boys at 2:45.
Varsity Girls
The Lady Cardinals scored 42 points to place first in the varsity race, 19 better than host Sacred Heart who had 61.
Kristin Cerny won the race in 13 minutes, 31 seconds and was followed by Skylar Mozisek in 13:41.
Dallyn Pesek was No. 11 in 14:56; Riley Mozisek was clocked at 15:02 for No 13; Emma Marshall finished at 15:10 for No. 15, followed by Sally Machacek in 15:36.
Faith Brown was No. 21 in 16:40, Frances Filip was No. 25 in 17:11, Clara Kinney was No. 28 in 18:15 and behind her was Reese Chilek in 18:30.
Varsity Boys
Gabe Darilek placed second in 18:37; Carter Chilek crossed the line at 23:11 for No.22; Levi Morkovsky was No. 32 in 25:14, followed by Jacob Arriola in 25:26.
