St. Paul cross country: St. Paul girls XC gets Silver at state

The St. Paul cross-country teams concluded the season with the TAPPS state meet Monday in Waco.
The girls placed second and had the 2A individual champion, and the boys were also top 10.
Girls
The Lady Cardinals scored 62 points to take Silver with state champion Providence Classical grabbing the 2A state title with 23 points.
Senior Brooke Cerny capped her high school cross-country career with the 2A state individual title as she was first across the line in 13 minutes, 23.73 seconds.
Kristin Cerny was ninth in 13:56.80; Skylar Mozisek was No. 12 in 14:03.15; Dallyn Pesek placed No. 23 with 14:48.39; Sally Machacek was No. 32 in 15:11.34; Nora Koch was No. 34 in 15:19.19 and Frances Filip finished in 15:21.27 for No. 36.
Boys
The Cardinals recorded 243 points to place eighth.
They were led by Gabe Darilek who was No. 29 in 19:48.63. Joseph Davis was No. 37 with 20:02.31; Alex Brown was No. 55 with 21:09.22; Hunter Zella crossed the finish line 21:59.76 for No. 66; Carter Chilek was No. 85 in 23:02.8; Nathan Timmons was No. 88 in 23:22.80 and Jackson Seibert was 109 in 24:50.39.
