St. Paul girl's basketball: Lady Cardinals rally to upend Waldorf
The Lady Cardinals needed a 25-17 second-half to avoid their first district loss, pulling away from Austin Waldorf 38-34 on the road Friday.
The Lady Roadrunners led 16-11 after the first quarter and St. Paul scored two of the three points in the second box to trail 17-13 at halftime.
The Lady Cardinals went on a 10-7 run in the third to get within one point before a 15-10 scoring advantage in the fourth period completed the comeback.
Skylar Mozisek bucketed 14 points as St. Paul’s top scoreboard performer and Kristin Cerny chipped in 12 points.
