Tribe finishes District unscathed
BULVERDE – The Sacred Heart Indians finished TAPPS District Division IV undefeated after mauling Bulverde Bracken Christian School, 17-3, in five innings Friday.
The Indians had a season high 16 hits with Hudson Kutac and Wade Shimek three each.
Layne Sevcik pitched four innings to get the win. He gave up three runs, struck out four and walked four. Dillon Goedrich worked the final frame and free passed one.
The Indians led 5-1 before putting up four runs in the fourth inning and seven in the fifth.
All but one starter had a hit.
Ty Noska had two triples and Josh Terry a double.
Sevcik, Noska and Terry had two hits each.
The Indians left just five baserunners and the Warriors six.
