Yoakum boys basketball: Cowboys get past Yoakum with third-quarter rally

The Edna Cowboys used an 18-6 third-quarter run to rally to beat Yoakum 55-48 Feb. 7 in Edna.
The Cowboys survived a 19-16 run in the fourth quarter as the ‘Dogs tried a rally of their own.
Yoakum took a slight 11-8 lead after the first quarter and led 24-21 at the break after Edna scored 13 of 25 points in the second box.
X’Zavier Barnett bagged 16 points to lead Yoakum in the scorebook.
