Brahmas take victory over Tidehaven

The Hallettsville Brahmas split two games last week.The Brahmas defeated Tidehaven in El Maton Tuesday, Feb. 3, 60-42.Hallettsville leapt out to an 18-5 lead at the end of the first quarter behind six points by Gavyn Chapa.

LB, Brahmas win

The Lady Brahmas and Brahmas picked up victories in Wharton Friday.The Lady Brahmas won 4-0. Abby Ressler scored the first goal with an assist from Avery Woodring.Woodring had a hat trick with three goals with an impressive “Olimpico” kick from a set corner piece corner pick opportunity.

Brahma football back in Region 4

Good news came out of Victoria Monday morning.Hallettsville football is going back to Region 4 after six years in Region 3.The Brahmas were assigned to District 13 with Yoakum, Luling, Marion, San Antonio Cole, Smithville and Universal City Randolph. Smithville came down from 4A.

Edna 53, Brahmas 27

EDNA – The hard luck Hallettsville Brahmas fell behind early and were never in the game in a 53- 27 loss to Edna Tuesday, Jan. 27.The only Brahma field goal came from Tezmond Gutierrez as the Cowboys took a 15-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Brahmas lose to Rice, Yoakum

The Hallettsville Brahmas let one slip away in a 65- 55 loss to Rice Consolidated in Altair Tuesday, Jan. 20.The Brahmas hit five of their first eight shots from the field in taking a 13-4 lead early in the first quarter before the Raiders came back to whittle the lead to 15-14 at period’s end.

Brahmas defeat Sharks for first Dist. win

Brahmas let one slip away in loss to Tigers

Hallettsville's chance to post its first 25-AAA victory slipped away in a 42- 39 loss to Tidehaven here Friday.The Brahmas led 33-32 at the beginning of the third period.

Edna 56, Brahmas 43

Hallettsville got behind early and could never recover is its 56-43 District 25-AAA opening loss to Edna here Friday night.The Cowboys took a 22-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and were up 29-13 at the half.
