Brahmas literally 'turnover' game to Bulldogs

The Hallettsville Brahmas hopes of beating Yoakum were squelched by six turnovers in the battle for the third seed in District 12, Division I here Friday night.The turnovers by the Brahmas and a gutsy performance by Yoakum quarterback Tre Cuellar led to a 41-12 victory for the Bulldogs.

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Cardinals have had more than their share of injuries, but still had plenty of ammunition left in the arsenal to take a 48-12 victory over the Hallettsville Brahmas in a District 12, Division I game at Massey Field Friday night.

Brahmas secure playoff Berth with 55-3 victory over Bobcats

The Hallettsville Brahmas have suffered some close losses this season and took out their frustrations on the Hempstead Bobcats in a 55-3 District 12-AAA victory here Friday night.The Brahmas amassed a season-high 425 yards and held the Bobcats to only 98 yards.

A small group of Hallettsville Independent School District voters attended last Wednesday evening’s (Oct. 2) town hall meeting regarding the bond proposed by the district concerning the construction of a new gymnasium/multi-purpose facility.

Brahmas lose another tough one

Another great effort by the Hallettsville Brahmas did not equal a win.The Brahmas suffered a 28-20 tough loss to Rockport-Fulton before a sizeable Homecoming crowd here Friday night.The Brahmas (2-4) saw a 20-14 halftime lead dissipate in the 28-20 loss to the Pirates.

Brahmas lose in final seconds, 26-19

BEEVILLE – For the second time this season, the Hallettsville Brahmas out-gained an opponent and lost.Beeville Jones scored with eight second remaining to take a 26-19 victory Friday night.The Brahmas had 444 yards of offense - 418 on the ground and 26 through the air.

ALTAIR – The Rice Consolidated Raiders are for real.Rice upped its record to 4-0 with a 24-6 victory over the Hallettsville Brahmas Friday night at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.However, the Brahmas (2-2) did break the Raiders’ string of 15 quarters without giving up a point this season.

LB sweeps Kitty Cats, 3-0

Hallettsville moved to 12-14 on the season after its 3-0 sweep of Yorktown (25-22,25-15, 25-21) here Friday evening.The LB had a 12-5 lead in the first set before the Kitty Cats went on a 10-2 run to take a 15-14 lead.
