HHS commencement Friday; 107 candidates up for graduation

Hallettsville High School will hold its 2026 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 22 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and in the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium.

Bell Award winners at HHS

The Hallettsville ISD recently held its annual Bell Award ceremony with 10 educational leaders recognized by senior students at Hallettsville High School.

HHS seniors answering the call

On Friday, Mar. 6, four brave Hallettsville High School young men took an oath to serve their country and signed up for the military.The signers included Lucas Hill and Austin Kainer, who enlisted with the US Army, while Jake Woytek and Peyton Prihoda signed up with the United States Marine Corps.

Medical Camp at HHS

Texas A&M College of Medicine will host a rural medical day camp at Hallettsville High School on Wednesday, June 25. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.The camp is open to seventh and eighth grade students attending all schools in Lavaca County including Sacred Heart in Hallettsville, St.

FFA Ag Issues team presents program at board meeting

The Hallettsville High School FFA Ag Issues team presented a program at the regular meeting of the HISD Board of Trustees on Monday, November 11.

Community mourns loss of high school junior

A hog hunting trip and an overturned early 1970’s model Jeep ended with the loss of a Hallettsville High School junior Friday evening. The incident occurred on private property located along the 2500-block of Lavaca County Road 211 at about 6:46 p.m.
