HHS commencement Friday; 107 candidates up for graduation

Hallettsville High School will hold its 2026 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 22 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and in the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium.

The Hallettsville ISD recently held its annual Bell Award ceremony with 10 educational leaders recognized by senior students at Hallettsville High School.
Four Hallettsville High School seniors recently enlisted to serve in the military after graduation. On Friday, Mar. 6, four brave Hallettsville High School young men took an oath to serve their country and signed up for the military.The signers included Lucas Hill and Austin Kainer, who enlisted with the US Army, while Jake Woytek and Peyton Prihoda signed up with the United States Marine Corps.

A hog hunting trip and an overturned early 1970’s model Jeep ended with the loss of a Hallettsville High School junior Friday evening. The incident occurred on private property located along the 2500-block of Lavaca County Road 211 at about 6:46 p.m.
