Indians lose to Comanches

Two errors and too many runners left on base told the story in the Sacred Hear Indians’ 4-0 loss to Shiner here Friday afternoon.The Comanches had just four hits. On the other hand, the Indians had only two hits and left seven on base.SH had no hits until the fifth inning.

Indianettes split

The Sacred Heart Indianettes split two games last week.The Indianettes (16-5-2) defeated Wallis Brazos, 14- 9, here Tuesday, March 19.The game appeared to be headed to a run-rule contest after the Indianettes had taken a 14-4 lead through four innings.

Indians win St. Paul Tournament

The Sacred Heart Indians won first place in the St. Paul Tournament held at Independence Park Golf Course in Gonzales Monday, March 11.The Indians shot a team total of 344 and were led by fifth medalist James Cesarz’s 82.

Sacred Heart Booster Club Results

The Sacred Hearty Booster Club Golf Tournament was held at Hallettsville Municipal Golf Course Monday.The Hallettsville Brahmas won first place with a team total of 338 and were led by second place medalist Brady Copley’s 39-41-80.

Indians edged by Tigers in 5th place game

Old high school teammates - Sacred Heart’s Mark Noska and Tidehaven’s Eddie Russell - met in the fifth place game of the Sacred Heart Booster Club Tournament Saturday.Tidehaven prevailed, 3-2, after scoring two runs in the top of the fifth inning.The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

SH wins inaugural tourney

The Sacred Heart Indianettes edged Houston St. Pius X, 4-3, to capture the championship of the inaugural SH Booster Club Tournament here Saturday evening.The teams were tied at 1-all prior to the Indianettes scoring three runs in the sixth inning, two coming on Ava Lackey’s home run.

The 38th Annual Sacred Heart Booster Club Tournament will feature pool play this year. Teams include Shiner, St. Paul, Victoria St. Joseph, Rockdale, Louise, Schulenburg, Conroe Covenant, Austin Hill Country, Sugar Land Logos Prep and Tidehaven. Thursday’s Schedule: 9:00: Shiner - St.

SCHULENBURG – When a team bats .559 in a game, the outcome is never in doubt. The Sacred Heart Indianettes blasted out 19 hits in the 19-8 victory over Schulenburg Friday. Seven of the hits were for extra bases including a home run by Rylan Dworsky.

Tribe racks up 7th district win in a row

The Sacred Heart Indians made it seven TAPPS District Division IV district wins in a row with a 58-46 beating of St. Paul here Monday night. The Indians led 19-12 at the end of the first quarter after Nic Angerstein scored on two treys and Andrew Steffek hit 9.
