St. Paul baseball: Comeback Cardinals

St. Paul got no hits but was able to score two seventh-inning runs to rally to beat Conroe Covenant Thursday in Bryan in the regional round to advance to the state tournament for the third straight season.

St. Paul track and field: Lady Cardinals track team wins 2024 state championship

HEWITT — The St. Paul girls track team concluded the 2024 season with a state championship. They scored 117.5 points to get past runner up First Baptist Academy who had 86 this past weekend at the TAPPS state meet at Panther Stadium in Hewitt.

St. Paul baseball: Cardinals blank Bryan SJ, Second Baptist in playoff wins

It was a slight famine at the plate for St. Paul in their bi-district game against Bryan St. Joseph April 23 at home.Both BSJ and St. Paul got just three hits a piece but it was St. Paul who got a couple of runs in and then prevented the Eagles from scoring once in a 2-0 win.

St. Paul softball: St. Paul blanks Concordia 17-0

The St. Paul softball team took care of business to clear the first playoff hurdle.St. Paul got 10 hits, seven of those extra base hits, and freshman pitcher Tatum Walker pitched a three-inning, no-hit shutout as St. Paul rolled Pflugerville Concordia Lutheran 17-0 Thursday at the Star Plex.

The St. Paul Lady Cardinals are the TAPPS 2A South regional champions after outscoring Bryan St. Joseph 179-134.The Cardinals finished runner up with 105 points with Waco Providence Classical scoring 154 points.

The St. Paul girls and boys golf team competed in the state tournament at Waco’s Cottonwood Creek Golf Course April 15-16.Lady Cardinals get runner upSt. Paul girls carded a 393 and 381 for 774 and second place.

St. Paul baseball: Flatonia pulls off late rally against SP, 9-7

The Cardinals came in within one inning of getting a win against Flatonia but it was not in the cards.The Bulldogs trailed 6-3 after six innings before scoring six runs in the top of the seventh and holding St. Paul to one run in a 9-7 victory.
