St. Paul baseball: Cards see off BC in first round

St. Paul produced a solid performance in their bi-district game over Baytown Christian on Monday. Cardinals head coach Charlie Mieschen said St. Paul did a good job of taking care business and would like to correct a few miscues before the next playoff game which is set for the end of this week.
The Shiner girls won runner up at the regional golf tournament last week and will compete at state as a team for the first time in school history. Shiner golf:Shiner girls advance to state

The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team created some school history as they finished in second place at regionals April 17-18 in Corpus Christi and will be attending the state golf tournament for the first time in school history as a team.

Youth sports: Youth volleyball teams place third in weekend tournament

Sweet Digs Club Volleyball 12U placed third in the Season Finale 12U American tournament this past Saturday in Seguin. Shiner Sweet Digs Club Volleyball 13U placed third in the FSC #5 tournment this past  Saturday in Seguin.

Shiner softball: Vincik jack, defense sees LC earn big win against GHS

The Lady Comanches defeated Schulenburg and got redemption in a 1-0 win over Ganado after falling to the Maidens earlier in the season. Shiner 7, Schulenburg 2 The Lady Comanches scored three runs in the first inning and went on to a 7-2 win over Schulenburg April 11 at home to complete the sweep.

Shiner baseball: Comanches use 7-run inning to pull away from ‘Horns

Ahead just 3-2 going into the bottom of the third frame April 11 against Schulenburg, Shiner was patient and scored seven runs. They scored two more in the fifth to take a 12-2 win in five innings. The Comanches got 13 hits, led by Kaiden Boothe who was 3-for-3 with one run and three RBI.

Shiner track and field: Shiner girls, boys collect area championships

The Shiner girls and boys track team picked up the area titles at the 27/28-2A championship April 12 at Weimar. Top four in each event will compete in the regional meet in Kingsville April 28-29. Varsity Girls The Lady Comanches scored 188 points to win the meet.

St. Paul baseball:Cardinals take tough loss against Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart Indians got hits to drop and St. Paul had some miscues in a 7-4 Indian win Friday in Shiner. The SH win leaves both teams with one loss in district play with the Indians scheduled to have played Bulverde Bracken yesterday (April 19). St.

Shiner girls basketball: Lenehan wins spot on THSCA Elite Team

Shiner Lady Comanche sophomore basketball player Morgan Lenehan was selected to the  Texas High School Coaches’ Association (THSCA) Girls Basketball Class 2A Super Elite Team. Lenehan helped the Lady Comanches win a bi-district championship and finish up as area-round finalists.

Youth sports: Shiner 11U wins second tournament

The Shiner Comanche 11U Baseball Team traveled to San Antonio on April 2 to play in the TSBI Baseball tournament. The Comanches won their second tournament in a row winning the championship game by a score of 4-2.

St. Paul baseball:St. Paul blanks SMA 10-0 in six

The St. Paul Cardinals earned another run-rule victory over San Marcos Academy, dropping the Bears 10-0 in six April 4 at Shiner Starplex. The Cardinals went up 3-0 in the second frame but did not score again until the sixth where they got in four runs and then scored three in the sixth.
