Veterans Appreciation Day: April 18

The 22nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day (VAD) will take place Saturday, April 18 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.Doors will open at 11 a.m. with a program scheduled at noon followed by the meal catered by Peter’s BBQ.

MISD to host Veterans Day event

The Moulton Independent School District will be hosting a Veterans Day event next week.On next Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m., there will be a program for Veterans at Moulton ISD in the school gymnasium. There will be a luncheon afterwards for veterans and their immediate family.

Yoakum Vietnam veteran revisits the time he served

A Yoakum Vietnam Veteran recently took a blast from the past and visited places that he had served in Vietnam.Larry Kupka went on a trip to Vietnam with his son, Jason and Jason's wife Sarah. " I did multiple tours to Vietnam from February 1968 to April 1970," Kupka said.

Veterans Day ceremony

Yoakum Junior High School (YJHS) is inviting all veterans, families, and community members to join them in honoring our nation’s heroes at their Veteran’s Day Program at 3:10 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Yoakum Junior High School Gymnasium.Guests are asked to call YJHS at 361-293-3111 by Nov.
