A reoccurring fraud scheme has once again rose up and is targeting Lavaca County residents.The Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office is warning citizens of scammers which will advise them that they have a warrant for their arrest.

LCSO hires two new deputies, gives staff promotions

The Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office recently announced several staff promotions and the hiring of two new deputies.Andrea Eldridge and Austin Nelson were both promoted to jail sergeant, while Dawton Quarles was promoted to jail corporal, according to a social media announcement from the agency.

Lavaca County gets new mental health deputy

Lavaca County now has a new mental health deputy. This came about after meetings with the Gulf Bend Center in Victoria.“A year ago, we put together a committee, the Lavaca County law enforcement committee,” Lavaca County Sheriff Stephen Greenwell said at a recent Commissioners Court meeting.
