Inmate baptism provides hope for those incarcerated

Eight inmates and a Lavaca County jailer were baptized Friday at the Lavaca County Jail as part of an ongoing effort to expand faithbased programs for those incarcerated at the facility.According to the Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office, the baptisms took place in the jail’s recreation room and were conducted by local ministers who volunteer with the jail’s religious outreach efforts.
