Taste of Lavaca County right around the corner

Anyone who attended last October's Casino Night Gala for the Old Shiner Gym surely recalls that very hot mess done dead center of the Shiner KC Hall.

Well, guess what? Robert Werner says he's going to bring back that culinary show master friend of his when he hosts the inaugural Taste of Lavaca County event, taking place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at historic Wied Hall.

If you would like to be a vendor at the Taste of Lavaca County, do let them know. You’ll get an 8-foot table and 3-ounce soufflé cup to put your tasty treats in to promote your business.

You can be a home baker, commercial kitchen, or even a non-food/drink establishment just trying to get your business out there.

And much like that Casino Night Gala last fall, this event, too, goes to support the Shiner Academic and Athletic Foundation in its continued push to revive the Old Shiner Gym. Several improvements have already been made, and this helps continue those efforts, with the ultimate goal being to get air conditioning inside the facility.
