What would you look like in a crown?

Deadline fast approaching for Moulton Chamber's royalty pageant

Who hasn’t daydreamed, at least once in your lifetime, what it might be like to be a prince or princess
for day? Well, why not make it official?
Because now’s the perfect opportunity for you to turn those fancies into for-reals for your little ones.
The 2022 Moulton Royalty pageant is right around the corner, after all, and members of the Moulton
Chamber of Commerce are actively recruiting for this year’s slate of candidates.
The lone requirement of each contestant is that they reside within the bounds of the local school
district. So long as they lived here as of Sept. 1, 2021, it doesn’t matter if they are enrolled MISD
students, parochial school students, or even those who are home-schooled.
Students who live in Moulton but attend a public school elsewhere are not eligible.
Awards will be given by age group, including the $1,000 grand prize given to the top incoming high
school senior, junior or sophomore who walks away with the Miss Moulton crown
The winner of the Junior Miss Moulton crown—reserved for girls entering the seventh, eighth or ninth
grades in the 2022-23 school year—will also take home a $300 cash prize. Young Miss Moulton, for girls
entering fourth through sixth grades next school year, will win a $200 cash prize.
Winners of the Little Miss Moulton and Little Mister Moulton crowns—for boys and girls in grades K-3
next school year—will take home $150 cash prizes each.
Entry deadline is Tuesday, July 5, with downloadable entry forms available at www.moutontexas.com.
Each contestant is required to provide a $40 sponsor fee. Contestants are urged to ask a local
business/individual/family to sponsor their entry fee.
The pageant takes place at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Moulton American Legion Hall. Sere you there!
