City of Yoakum Christmas Holiday closing and garbage pickup schedule

City Hall offices, the Welhausen Library, and the Solid Waste Transfer Station will be closed on Dec. 22, Dec. 23, and Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holidays.

Dec. 18-22: All residential and commercial garbage and yard waste routes will be picked up on schedule.

Dec. 25-29: All residential garbage routes will be as follows: Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday; Tuesday’s route on Wednesday, Wednesday’s route on Thursday; and Thursday and Friday’s routes will be picked up on Friday

Monday’s commercial garbage route will be picked up on Tuesday. All other commercial garbage routes will be on schedule.

The Solid Waste Transfer Station will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and Monday Dec. 22, 23, 25 and will reopen for regular schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 26.

As a reminder, residential yard waste pick up is scheduled for the week of Dec. 19-22.
