The Hallettsville High School FFA Ag Issues team presented a program at the regular meeting of the HISD Board of Trustees on Monday, November 11.
HHS Ag-Science teacher and FFA advisor, Mallory Haas, introduced the team who included Kaisly Bludau, Alyssa Smith, Aubrey Freytag, Kenley Kalmus, and Taylor Yeatts.
The team presented an informational presentation on the advantages and disadvantages of both conventional and autonomous tractors.
Team members gave compelling points that were both thought provoking and persuasive on the advantages and disadvantages of both kinds of tractors.
Their in-depth knowledge gave everyone at the meeting an insight to how things have evolved over time with new technology creating autonomous tractors and yet the reliability and resilience of the conventional tractors.
The team has qualified to compete in the Area 11 FFA Leadership Development Event that will be held this Saturday, Nov. 23 at Blinn College in Brenham.
