Flatonia man facing murder charge

A request for police to conduct an afternoon welfare check at a house in the 500-block of Hackberry Street in Flatonia, ended with the arrest of a 42-year-old Flatonia man on Monday, Aug. 28, ona charge of murder.  Flatonia Chief of Police Lee Dick reported that officers discovered the body of a deceased woman at that location during the welfare check.
