George Kalisek to host 'Jamboree Kick-Off'

The day before the Moulton Jamboree, there will be a kick-off hosted by George Kalisek at George’s Hall and Park on Friday, July 26.

It will be an evening of music and dancing with refreshments and hamburgers available throughout the event. The Moulton Knights of Columbus will be providing the hamburgers.

“This is the second year we have done this,” Kalisek said. “We decided to go ahead and give free entertainment the night before the Jamboree. Last year, around 250 to 300 people showed up and it was a success.

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. “Super Dave” Hollas will be performing and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Shiner’s 2nd Wind Band will perform.

Kalisek is encouraging folks to bring their lawn chairs.
