Hallettsville CC&A banquet set Jan. 31

The Hallettsville Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture 92nd Annual Membership and Awards Banquet will be held Wednesday, January 31 at the Hallettsville KC Hall.

The theme for this year is “Hallettsville – Then and Now.”

Chamber officials request the public to please join the in celebrating and recognizing the accomplishments of businesses, community, and individuals who are committed to making Hallettsville a great place to live, work, and play.

This year’s banquet will follow a different format than in the past with networking and social from 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the dinner, awards, and entertainment.

Music and entertainment will be provided by 7gram Soul Entertainment

In addition, this year the banquet will have Houston’s 740 KTRH Morning News radio co-host and Hallettsville native, Shara Fryer, serve as the keynote speaker.

The highlight of the evening will be the naming of Citizen of the Year, the Hospitality Award winner and the Outstanding Senior Student from Hallettsville and Sacred Heart Catholic High Schools.

At this year’s banquet, there are five individuals nominated for Citizen of the Year, who include Ginger Kirk, Charles and Annabeth Neumeyer, Nancy Obelgoner.

Nominees for the Hospitality Award include Lora Berckenhoff (Brookshire Brothers), Juanita Kirk (Beauty Boutique) and Sally Zappe (Ehler’s Furniture).

The Outstanding Senior Student nominees from Sacred Heart Catholic High School are Klayton Chance, son of Kevin and Kelly Chance, Alexandra Leigh Kraatz, daughter of Trey and Jennifer Kraatz and Ava Grace Matias, daughter of Jay and Kasey Lucas, and James Matias.

The Outstanding Senior Student nominees from Hallettsville High School include Olivia Etiler, daughter of Aaron and Sheila Etzler, Macy Herring, daughter of Dennis and Doris Herring and Lauren Lundy, daughter of Robert and Heather Lundy.

Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased at the Chamber office until Friday, January 26.

After Jan. 26, tickets will be $45 per person and can also be purchased at the door on the night of the banquet.

Corporate tables can also be purchased for $300 that includes seats for eight.
