Jamboree taking place in Moulton

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, you might consider driving to Moulton for their annual Town and Country Jamboree.

The Jamboree kicks off Saturday with a softball tournament starting at 8 a.m.

The Moulton Jamboree parade will take place at 10:30 a.m. and those participating in the barbecue cookoff will start turning in their entries starting at 11:30 a.m.

There will be a wealth of musical entertainment throughout the day with Kenneth Kristynik and the Lavaca County Line playing at 11 a.m.

They will be followed by the Shiner Hobo Band at 2 p.m. and Brandi Behlen at 6 p.m.

Beyond Shiner will open for The Emotions with their performances starting at 8 p.m. until midnight.

Snake demonstrations, a corn hole tournament as well as kid interactive games will take place Saturday afternoon.

The Jamboree will continue on Sunday with a car and tractor show as well as the pie contest starting a 9 a.m. The pie auction will be held at 2 p.m.

Throughout Sunday, more musical entertainment will be available with the Czechaholics playing at 11 a.m. followed by the Ennis Czech Boys at 2 p.m. and Riptide from 5 to 8 p.m.

In addition, snake demonstrations and interactive kid games will be available as well as the corn hole tournament.

Other sources of entertainment include a tug-a-tractor contest and arts and crafts booths.

The Moulton Chamber of Commerce invites all to come out for twodays of entertainment for all ages and make memories.
